To the CEO of SayPro Neftaly Malatjie, the Chairperson Mr Legodi, SayPro Royal Committee Members and all SayPro Chiefs
Kgotso a ebe le lena
On the 23rd of May 2025, the Development Team conducted an outreach visit to engage with students from the Neftaly Kingdom who had previously been recruited but have since stopped attending the center.
During the discussions, several students shared their concerns about returning to the center. The primary reasons cited were:
Fear of Interviews: Students expressed discomfort and anxiety about being interviewed, indicating that they feel unprepared or pressured during these sessions.
Reluctance Toward Media Exposure: Many also voiced concerns about being photographed or recorded on video, which they felt invaded their privacy or made them feel exposed. This feedback suggests a significant barrier to participation that may be undermining ongoing engagement efforts.
Request for Support:
The Development Team is seeking practical solutions to address these concerns and help create a more welcoming and safe environment for the students. Possible considerations include:Reassessing the necessity and frequency of interviews and how they are conducted.
Providing clear communication and consent procedures around photography and video recording.
Offering alternative methods of engagement that respect student comfort levels. We welcome any recommendations or strategies that could help rebuild trust and encourage students to return to the center.
